Blue Dolphins

Blue Dolphins have had a busy month with Halloween. We have read many fall books, and have been busy counting and doing our letters to make our wonderful fall classroom decorations. In November we will be starting our around the world theme which the children wanted to learn more about. We will be making passports, and doing art and cooking projects, related to that culture and geographic area.

In November we will also be doing holiday projects to keep the spirit and fun of the holidays in the classroom.

Purple Sharks

There have been a lot of changes last month for the Purple Sharks but things are returning to a good balance. Ms. Molly as most of you know has taken a medical leave of absence until January. We all hope that she feels better and can’t wait for her to come back. Ms. Amalie, who worked here over the summer missed all of the children and families at The Learningden so when she moved back from San Francisco she really wanted to return to work here. She taught the Purple Shark Class before Molly came and has returned to that room while Molly is on leave. Amalie has lots of experience with age group as well as a teaching credential, and a Bachelors degree. While in San Francisco she taught at a school in the Tenderloin. Welcome Back Ms. Amalie. Thank you, Aiden Scott for the wonderful birthday lunch celebration.  We wish you a Happy Birthday again from all your purple shark friends.

Rainbow Fish

Ms. June has been very busy with all of the Rainbow Fish last month, they did many holiday projects. The children are really starting to recognize their name and love group time counting and books. The children are really getting used to the routine and learning how to use words to resolve conflicts with their peers. Some of the Rainbow Fish have been mastering potty training and are preparing to move classrooms in January. We love to sing, dance, do art and play together. Ms June looks forward to a fun holiday season.

Green Turtles

Exciting news for the Green Turtles is that Ms. Hilary is returning to the Green Turtle room. She has missed all of her turtles so much she took the first opportunity she had to come back and work at the Learningden. Welcome all new Green Turtles!!
